The Community Foundation of Crawford County (CFCC) is excited to announce Jasper Engines and Transmissions’ significant sponsorship of its soon be renovated Community Room at its current location on Goodman Ridge Road in Marengo. “Jasper Engines and Transmissions is excited to support the Community Foundation of Crawford County and the renovation of the new Community Room.  We believe strongly in the Foundation’s vision to utilize the Community Room for ongoing education and support of non-profit entities within the county.  We appreciate the work of everyone involved with the project, and their efforts to make Crawford County a better place to live, work, and visit,” said Matt Weinzapfel, president and COO of Jasper Engines & Transmissions.

“This sponsorship really energized the capital campaign and we are grateful to have such a dedicated friend to life in Crawford County,” said Angela Leonard, CFCC board chairwoman.

The community room is expected to seat 100 people at tables. It will function as a multipurpose event venue for the CFCC and Crawford County’s nonprofit sector, and includes a kitchenette with a long counter to serve food. It will feature large smart TVs to be used for training, education and information sessions, workshops, simulcasting and more. Christine Harbeson, CFCC’s executive director, said, “Now that fiber optic cable is being installed in Crawford County, the opportunities for online services to our community are virtually limitless. Everyone at the CFCC is so excited about all that can be done.”

Doug Bawel, Chairman/CEO of Jasper Holdings, Inc. said, “We are proud to be a part of this project. Today our Crawford facility has 484 Associate-Owners who may find this beneficial.” Jasper Engines & Transmissions’ sponsorship of this renovation proves their dedication to the future of Crawford County.

“By partnering together with Jasper Engines & Transmissions on this project, we know we will be able to do more and grow Crawford County!”, said Leonard. “Anyone who would like to support this capital campaign or to learn more about the Community Foundation of Crawford County, please visit www.cf-cc.org, call (812) 365-2900, or email charbeson@cf-cc.org.”
